Those high school days of bringing that Twilight book to school and reading it whenever we have free time and saving pictures of cute scenes from the net. Fun times! Oh and I guess Edward really got me that I made his name my wallpaper! hahahaha!

Hello! After four months of not updating this site (what's new), I finally found some time (or using my break time to blog. I've been busy with school, couple of really great shoots here and there and personal life like someone stole Canon camera in a party. My birthday party. Happy birthday to me!! hahaha) Anyway, moving on....this shoot is already four months old. Taken around August for the project of a really good friend, Tracy Ayson and her friend, Teena Tan.

Shoot was fun and quick! I think we were already on the fourth layout and we were just shooting for only thirty minutes or so! Hye is stunning and it was really cool that I got to shoot her cos she's also a part of MEGA Magazine's 10 Most Beautiful in 2011 list (Congrats, Hye!!! You deserve it!) and this shoot was three days or something before Hye leaves for Korea.

Speaking of MEGA Magazine, I'll blog about the reality TV show that I was in this year next time!

Oh and I still have my baby Canon 50D during this time!

Though I really love all my cameras....

I like keeping my desk clean and simple. Though I also want those messy-artist-table-look but I always end up cleaning them mehh. Btw, if you know where I can get Macbook pro 15'' cover, let me know! I've hunting for one but such a fail.

Not much photo cos place was jam packed and kinda went home early cos I had three exams the following day (Midterms week!) plus that was also the reason why I was dressed down. After my nine pm class, I prepared for the event right away and went there with my friends - Esme, Lorenz and Nikki. Big thanks to Tracy! As well as to Megan B. Tali Beach

I love summer but I don't love it as much as I love the rainy season. You get what I mean. Anyway, my family and some friends went to Tali Beach, Batanggas. Our house is on a cliff over water which is really lovely. We stayed there for only three days because I had a shoot the next day (this one is huge! I'll tell you more details about it soon though if you follow me on Twitter, you probably already know about it!). Even if I stayed there for just a short while, it helped me relax and contemplate with things. The beach was just outside my garden. I love it. I can stay there forever.

Nights were filled with cheese, grapes, wine and days were filled of so much food and endless laughter. No one cared if your swim suit is not going to fit you anymore. Eat, swim, relax and be happy was the motto.

Until now, I can still feel the warm feeling that I felt when I was there. It made me think that I was in Amazon or living in a beautiful isolated place.

Stared at this while I was I lying down and listening to the sound of the ocean wave and birds. It was beyond soothing.

Night swimming. I went underwater and swam with the fishes. So sad though that my camera didn't cooperate with me that time so I wasn't really able to get decent photos.

A lot of people always ask me about Vanilla Label and what the differnce was between that and my namesake brand: Vania Romoff. I need to clarify this once and for all:

For those of you who dont know..Vania Romoff is a designer RTW and made to order line. While

Vanilla Label is my bridge line.

What is a bridge line?

A bridge line refers to a pricing and styling category of misses apparel. Typically, bridge designers are one notch under designer lines. Bridge lines have more unique styling than contemporary misses but are -usually- not as pricey as designer lines. The hierarchy with regard to styling, price and exclusivity from highest to lowest is:

Haute Couture
Designer RTW (Vania Romoff)
Bridge (Vanilla Label)
Contemporary

Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011

Covered Philippine Fashion Week once again for STATUS Magazine but this time, I got to watch and take photos backstage. A show wouldn't be outstanding without the crew. From the dressers to the director, they were the reason why such huge event was a success.

Every time I see a model (especially who I already shot) who do their their thing on the runway, I get the funny butterfly feeling. Weird huh? I'm just so proud, happy and grateful that they already posed for me! hihi. Photo above is Stephanie, getting ready for Forever 21 show.

I'm such a sucker for updating my blog. Sorry!! Though I really appreciate I have new followers here on blogspot even if I don't really update this site! Thank you so much again!! <3

Sooo....I'm somewhat a mall-rat and first photo was taken at my usual place using my phone again! This time I used my Blackberry (for my old celltography photos, I used my Nokia N97). I really like taking random photos with my phone especially when I'm bored and or when I see something pretty/inspires me.

I got lucky too with my second photo! I love rainbows! I'm so glad that I got to capture the two rainbows that were at my right! I don't know if it's just me but then taking this photo was such a challenge. I used film for this and I was inside the car when I took it! So happy the photo turned out nice! Everything's original. No photo manipulation or what!

Oh and, I just got back home from my defense which was nerve wracking. I don't like talking in front of the class! Definitely one of my waterloos lol. I'm somewhat on summer break already by the way! Got one week break then finals then hellooooo, summer!!

Just like a kid who got her gold star shaped sticker, I'm a happy and proud nineteen year old girl who got her first two editorials! I seriously can't believe it. Everything's happening so fast! I only had 14 personal shoots (2009-2010. I used to shoot only during the summer) and maybe 10-ish shoots for clothing brands and now, I have my first two editorials!!

Ended 2010 with an editorial and started 2011 with an editorial! damn, I seriously didn't see that coming!

Met again the oh so fab people - Ms. Kookie of deathbyplatforms.blogspot.com and Ms. Nicole of soulephenomenon.blogspot.com! Last time I met them was during Fashion Week! Got kilig when Ms. Kookie told me I look familiar haha! I love her + her style! I also told them yesterday that I've been a fan of them since I-don't-know-year but they didn't wanna believe me! huhu. Hope to see you guys again soon!

And of course, Everywhereweshoot was also there! The red hair of Garovs is stunning. I also had fun chats with JP Singson and David Guison and finaaaaaaally got to meet Tin Iglesias and An + En! Oh and thanks a bunch to Paul for taking lots of pictures of me with Yvan!

The book signing ended pretty late so Loris and the team had a dinner with Yvan while Dan and I went straight to KYSS. Now, the after party! You just have to wait for my other post to see what happened that year ender epic night. I'm soooo glad and thankful that I spent my two-days-before-2010-ends with STATUS, partied with Yvan and got KYSS-ed! all in one night! Have a happy happy New Year y'all!!

I got a living doll for Christmas! Just kidding. Meet my four year old untalkative cousin, Angeline! I swear she looks like a friendly doll here but in real life, she can give you the scariest straight look ever. Can pass for a horror movie kind of thing...

Went to my grandpa's house to celebrate Christmas with the family! Can you feel and see the 60's vibe-ness of it? If you're into vintage things like me, you can spot lots of things that are way older than you. The picture with the cigarette in it was actually my mom's gift for her brother. It's called E-Cigaratte! Perfect gift for your smoke-a-holic friends! It lights up and has smoke too! (I know about it not because I tried it but because my uncle demonstrated it to me lol non-smoker right here :)) Non stop food galore, karaoke til the sun was up, visited relatives and bonded with my family then final dinner beside the sea. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas! Merry Christmas again! x

Last Saturday, I got invited to Candy magazine's most awaited event, Candy Fair 2010, which happened at A.Venue Hall! Thank you so much Candy and Summit!!

The event started at 1 pm and sadly, I arrived around 3 PM cos I had to do errands. I missed lots of people like Martin del Rosario, the PBB boys, the Gigger Boys, Dino Imperial, Sam Concepcion and more! ack! But good thing I was still able to watch my awesome sixteen year old talented crush, Elmo Magalona! heehee.

Channel V Philippines' VJ, Megan Young and the Ultimate Male Survivor of the show StarStruck, Steven Silva were the hosts.

Pinoy Big Brother Teen Housemate, Bret Jackson! He reminds me of Justin Bieber.

Hunted all Candy Cuties with my friend, Sakki. They were the only guys that we spotted. We couldn't find the others!

Cutie pie, Arkin Magalona! Everyone was screaming and waving when he was singing. So damn cute!

This was the time when Arkin said "Candy girls, please take care of his heart. He is my brother". AAAAAAAH. I want a brother like him!!! Look at everyone's reaction! Everyone was saying awwww! Even me!

Screamed my heart out for Elmo's name together with other people while taking these pictures. Multi-tasking, yus.

So here, save the best for last. Elmo Magalonaaaaaaaa.

Had a huge big-ass smile on my face while taking pictures + watching him perform. :)

So silly of me I had a chance to interview anyone. I repeat, a-n-y-o-n-e. But totally forgot to ask for a backstage pass or something. I blame my excitedness for this. ugh.

SoFA Speaks happend last September 21 at Power Plant Mall. So glad that SoFA invited me to this event (thank you, SoFA!). One of the best talks yet! So this might sound over reacting but I remembered that I found some rain drop shaped tears coming out from my eyes during or after the talks of Rajo and Kenneth. It was THAT inspiring plus when Rajo talked bout his childhood life, I suddenly remembered myself. Almost all the things that happened to me before happened in my mind again as if it was happening now. Silly things that I did. Silly wise actions. Actions that made me who I am now. Now, I am happy where I am and who I am. Whoever I am right now.

Things that I keep on reminding myself:

Push yourself to the limit. Never ever give up. Do you very best in everything. Grab all the opportunities that you can get. Life is all about exploring and learning new things. And lastly, how will you know if something is good or bad for you if you don't experience it? Take the risk. Make it happen. Make it ALL happen. Dreams are just dreams if you don't do anything about it.

So I think it's already about time to post the photos that I took for School of Fashion and The Arts, yea?

This shoot is definitely memorable (well all of my shoots are) but I think this is very special to me because this is my very first BIG shoot. School of Fashion and The Arts is the very first specialized fashion college here in the Philippines, it is the home campus of Project Runway Philippines and this is the place where they shoot Magkaribal, a Filipino teleserye! Plus, I shot the famous Mira Baino who was part of Philippine Next Top Model and Ornusa Cadness who has been modeling since she was little and was also a part of Manila Design Week: What's in Your Bag?

Here's a funny story, while we were on a break, a sales girl went inside our room + holding a magazine and asked with a shy voice if Ornusa can write something on the magazine. So she checked the magazine and turned out it was FHM. lol. I think the girl got sort of embarrassed and immediately told Ornusa and pointed her friend (who was a guy haha!) who was hiding outside the room that it was for him and he was super shy to face Ornusa. lol. cute!

Summer of May 2010

From now on, I will not only post photographs of pretty models here on my blog but I will also post pictures of things that I see everyday. Simple everyday things. Things that became so quiet that we already forget that they also have a special beauty in them.

I found their site around 2 years ago and it was the time when they only used to sell shoes. Now, they make clothes, accessories and shoes. I had no idea that someday, I'm gonna be working with them. I was actually supposed to shoot for their new line which is called Zoo Teens but I wasn't able to go to the shoot cos it was during my midterm exam week. booo.

It's not my first time to edit someone's work but it's my first time to edit photos for a client. I'm not sure if you get what I mean but for me there's a difference between editing "fun photos" with editing "client photos". Fun photos are the ones for personal use and client photos are the ones that are used for websites, portfolio use and the like. You edit them in the nicest possible way.

Photo above is obviously under "client photos" but errrr, I just don't like it. Maybe I'm still new with the editing-another-photographers-work-thing. Hmm, I must work on that.

Anyway, I must go back to my school work shizz. So many projects due tomorrow and Finals (exam) is already next week. Good luck to me!

We arrived late cos we had classes til 7pm but good thing we still met some of the people that we admire like Revo Naval and Garovs and Ryan of Everywhere We Shoot and I bumped into some friends like the ever fashionable girl, Loris Pena! too bad I wasn't able to take a picture with her. :(

For some of us, high school is everything, but majority of the people believe that there is more to life than high school. Well, maybe at least, that's what I think.

I remember going to school wearing those horrible eye bags and groggy look usually because of A) you stayed up all night just to finish the project that was given to you a month ago but started on it just before the due date; B) you studied for an exam for more than 3 hours straight and still, you didn't get the lesson or; C) you were busy reblogging pictures on Tumblr, non- stop wall-posting to your friends on Facebook or chatting with your crush til morning.

School of Fashion and the Arts invited The SDA Project team -–– Esme, Lorenz, Bjorn and I last July 22 for a workshop which was called SoFAshionista For A Day: The Blogger Series. We met Jill of Love Little Liar, MJ of Street Manila, Camille and Christine of Big Bangs Theory, Fold of The Kabog and Nissy of Incognito Glam.

Being a SofAshionista was fun and exciting. They told us SoFa's prospectus and courses which you should definitely check out, we discussed things like what customers want and need, trends and more. We also had a pop quiz (I really felt like a student that time! I wasn't able to answer almost all the on-the-spot-questions haha!) and my second campus tour. My first one was when I had a shoot with SoFa last summer. Will post the photos soon!

Way back in 2008 I was just a newbie in fashion and photography. I didn't know any models nor designers nor makeup artists --- nada. I still remember that I kept telling myself that someday I'm going to shoot famous models, designers, brands, fashion shows etc. In my head, I know that this crazy dream is going to happen after 10 years or so because who am I to make this dream happen right?! I was one of those kids who thought that she doesn't have any talents to share. I was just a typical sophomore teenager struggling with facts about life and was trying to survive high school (I'm so grateful that I survived school and I thank my friends, family, and teachers for that!).

Now it's 2010, all these crazy dreams are happening to me. I just can't believe it! I might sound over reacting but whatever. I'm too damn happy right now! I'm really grateful that God answered (most of) my prayers.

Tomorrow, I'm finally going to shoot Philippine Fashion Week! and yes, I'm going to be a part of the media family! Photos are going to be for a magazine in Indonesia (and might be for Fashion TV too) + I'm going to be featured there.

It's crazy you know. I'm going to be published for the very first time and it's going to be for an international magazine and not for a local magazine! haha!

I really hope that this year is just going to be the start of my career. I'm such a happy kid right now :)
